Strategic National Account Manager - Tools and Accessories - Base Salary to 130k/year - Montclair, CAOur client, a stable and growing manufacturer and supplier of power tool accessories, is seeking a Strategic National Account Manager to manage and grow national retail, home improvement, construction/industrial distribution, and rental accounts. This role combines strategic account management, category management, product strategy, analytics, and new business development. This is a high-visibility opportunity with direct ownership of key accounts and commercial growth initiatives. The Strategic National Account Manager reports to the VP of Operations and works within a 4 - 5-person team. This position is 100% onsite in Montclair, CA, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional travel.
Responsibilities: Manage and grow strategic national accounts, with approximately 70% account management and 30% new business development, varying based on business needs Develop growth strategies across product assortment, pricing, product launches, merchandising, category management, and product strategy Build and strengthen relationships with national retailers, home improvement retailers, construction and industrial distributors, and rental companies Communicate with retail buyers and customer stakeholders regarding account strategy, product assortment, pricing, merchandising, and growth opportunities Identify and pursue new customers, sales channels, products, and business development opportunities Analyze customer performance, competitive assortments, market trends, sales data, pricing, and margins to identify growth opportunities Develop customer presentations, business cases, pricing analyses, margin worksheets, and commercial recommendations Work cross-functionally with product development, operations, customer service, engineering, manufacturing, and finance to execute account and product initiatives Manage key account and commercial initiatives from analysis through execution Support product development and product launch initiatives based on customer, channel, and market requirements Provide account, category, product, pricing, and commercial recommendations to senior management and customers
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field 3+ years of progressive experience in strategic National Account Management, new Business Development, Category/Product Management, or Commercial Strategy with major retailers, construction tool distributors, rental companies, or related organizations Experience with national retail accounts, account management, product or marketing development, customer service, and communication with retail buyers Experience driving product strategy, account growth, and new business development Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong Microsoft Excel skills for analytics, including pricing matrices and margin worksheets Strong Microsoft Power Point skills for customer and business presentations
