About the Role: An elite global law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Support Specialist to join its Accounting Operations team in a fully remote capacity. This role is well suited for a legal billing professional who enjoys problem-solving, troubleshooting, and assisting others. Rather than managing a traditional billing portfolio, this position serves as an internal resource for billing professionals, attorneys, and accounting teams, helping resolve billing and accounting inquiries and providing support within Aderant. The position is fully remote and available to candidates who can work a Central or Pacific Time Zone schedule.
Key Responsibilities: Respond to legal billing and accounting inquiries through the firm's Service Now ticketing system. Provide support and troubleshoot billing-related questions and issues within Aderant. Research inquiries, identify appropriate solutions, and escalate more complex matters when necessary. Assist billing professionals, attorneys, and other internal teams with accounting-related questions. Document requests, communications, actions, and resolutions accurately within the ticketing system. Provide clear, professional, and timely customer service to internal users. Maintain established service level agreements while balancing accuracy and responsiveness. Develop a strong understanding of the firm's accounting systems, processes, and billing workflows. Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure inquiries are routed and resolved efficiently.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of legal billing or accounting experience within a law firm or professional services environment. Hands-on experience with Aderant is required. Strong understanding of legal billing processes and workflows. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to research and resolve issues independently while recognizing when escalation is appropriate. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including filters and pivot tables. Experience with Service Now, Chrome River, or Kofax is a plus. Position Highlights 100% remote position.
