About the role
About us:
Christian & Timbers has been placing CEOs, boards and technology leaders since 1980, with more than 5,000 executive placements and 500 CEO searches. Today we are the fastest-growing executive search firm in the United States and the first retained executive search firm built for AI. We are roughly 60 people across the United States, Canada and Europe, and we move fast because our clients do.
The role:
Speed is our product, and business development runs on follow-up. As Executive Assistant to the President, you will make sure no prospect, introduction or proposal ever goes quiet, own the partners' priorities and calendars across time zones, and free the partners to spend their time on the conversations only they can have. What you will own Prospect follow-up, the core of the job. Out within one to two hours of the call, never more than 24, in the firm's voice with the right attachment. The partners' priorities. You hold the working list of what matters and drive prep for the most important meetings. Calendars across time zones. Fast bookings, no conflicts, and smart scheduling around Europe and the US.CRM discipline. You keep Hub Spot accurate, run outreach sequences and share a short weekly pipeline update. Proposals and collateral. Engagement letters, NDAs and decks, driven to deadline across marketing, research and operations.
Must have:
Around ten years supporting a CEO, founder or managing partner directly, not in a pooled role. A C-suite client-facing background, in executive search, consulting, legal, accounting, agency or IT services. Business development instinct at speed. Persistence that produced meetings, not irritation. A track record of building order in fast-moving environments. Excellent writing and judgment about tone with senior executives. Fluency in the modern stack: Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and a CRM such as Hub Spot, Loxo, or Salesforce, plus real use of AI tools. Flexibility with hours, including some early European mornings and the occasional late call when a deal is live.
Nice to have:
Retained search experience, supporting several partners at once, owning a CRM or outreach sequences, and deck polish in Canva or Google Slides. What you getA direct line to the President and the FounderA front-row seat to how CEO and board-level business is won Real autonomy and a small team that notices great work Flexibility in the middle of the day How we hire Resume review, a 25-minute call with the President, a paid timed work sample, a systems interview, a conversation with the Founder, and a close with the President. A paid trial week precedes an offer. Where you will work Fully remote anywhere in the United States on Pacific hours, or hybrid if you are in New York City, Cleveland or San Francisco. The team meets in person four times a year. Those meetups are optional but encouraged, and we cover the travel. Christian & Timbers is an equal opportunity employer.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
