About the role
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow IT & engineering services revenue within government agencies and public sector organizations
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through outbound outreach, networking, and referrals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within government entities
- Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and close
- Collaborate with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure successful fulfillment of client needs
- Understand client requirements and position customized engineering staffing and project-based solutions
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting through CRM tools
- Stay informed on market trends, government procurement processes, and competitive landscape
- Qualifications3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management
- Experience selling IT and/or engineering services, technical staffing, or consulting solutions preferred
- Experience selling to government clients.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of IT and/or engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, or software)
- Familiarity with government contracting environments and procurement cycles
- Experience collaborating with recruiting or delivery teams in a services-based model
