- Lifecycle Strategy & Performance
- Own email and SMS strategy across a portfolio of client accounts
- Build campaign, flow, segmentation, and testing strategies tied to client goals
- Identify opportunities across the customer lifecycle to improve conversion, repeat purchase, and retention
- Monitor performance, diagnose issues, and turn data into clear recommendations
- Develop testing roadmaps and evolve strategy based on results
- Connect lifecycle performance to broader client business goals
- Client Leadership
- Serve as the strategic lead and trusted lifecycle advisor for your clients
- Lead client calls, reporting, strategic planning, and performance conversations
- Clearly communicate what's working, what's not, and what we recommend doing next
- Proactively surface risks and opportunities while navigating feedback and difficult conversations with good judgment
- Build strong client relationships that contribute to account health and retention
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Translate strategy into clear direction for project managers, copywriters, designers, and developers
- Provide strategic feedback and QA to ensure execution aligns with client goals
- Partner with PMs to keep priorities, timelines, and deliverables aligned
- Help unblock complex account challenges and bring structure to ambiguous problems
- 5+ years of experience in lifecycle, retention, CRM, email, or SMS marketing
- Previous agency experience managing retention/lifecycle marketing for multiple client accounts is required
- Deep working knowledge of Klaviyo; experience with additional ESP and SMS platforms is a plus
- Strong understanding of lifecycle flows, campaign strategy, segmentation, personalization, testing, and deliverability
- Ability to analyze performance data and turn it into clear strategic recommendations
- Experience presenting strategy and performance to senior client stakeholders
- Strong client management instincts, including the ability to manage expectations, navigate difficult conversations, and push back thoughtfully
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced agency environment with multiple accounts, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Able to operate independently without significant oversight
- Strong cross-functional collaborator who can effectively direct copy, design, development, and project management partners
