About the role
Managing post-close accounting for acquisitions, the full-time CPA Transaction Accountant will lead ASC 805 purchase accounting and Opening Balance Sheet preparation for PE-backed portfolio companies, ensuring audit-ready financial records while collaborating with finance teams and valuation specialists, with opportunities for remote work.
Key responsibilities
Lead purchase price allocation execution and prepare Opening Balance Sheet bridges for acquisitions and divestitures
Provide technical guidance on complex accounting issues and collaborate with controllers and auditors for accurate financial reporting
Manage multiple workstreams independently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, audit-ready documentation
Required qualifications
5+ years of experience in Big 4 FAAS/Deals or in-house technical accounting with expertise in ASC 805 purchase accounting
Proven track record in leading purchase price allocation and Opening Balance Sheet preparation
Active or eligible CPA designation preferred
Strong command of US GAAP related to business combinations and familiarity with valuation concepts
Proficient in Excel and financial modeling, with experience navigating ERP systems
