About the role
Project Engineer The Project Engineer supports the Team Lead, Project Managers, Superintendents and Foremen to complete projects efficiently, and assists with estimating and administrative duties for the team.
Essential Duties:
Take direction from the Team Lead or their delegate Read and understand plans, specifications and permit requirements Coordinate material orders and equipment, and communicate with subcontractors Support field crews, with travel throughout New England Use GPS for surveying and layout Assist with job cost tracking and invoicing Obtain bidding documents and set response timelines Analyze bid documents for scope, schedule and risk Attend pre-bid meetings Perform take-offs and prepare bid sheets Request and manage pricing for materials, subcontractors, equipment and labor
Education & Experience:
BS/BA Degree, Environmental or Civil Engineering preferred. 2+ years of experience in the field of construction and/or environmental restoration. Civil/Site construction experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication.

Work Environment:
The work environment will include time in an office as well as in the field coordinating with crew and subcontractors when required. Sum Co Eco-Contracting performs work in all types of weather, providing the work conditions are still safe for employees.
