We’re seeking a passionate and inspiring Director of Education to join our leadership team at The Goddard School in Reading, MA. The ideal candidate is an accomplished early childhood leader who is committed to excellence in teaching, strong relationships, and meaningful learning experiences—and who is motivated to develop educators, strengthen teaching practices, and elevate the quality of our already amazing educational program.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: RESPONSIBILITIESLead curriculum implementation and development and ensure high-quality, developmentally appropriate educational practices. Coach and support teachers through lesson planning, classroom practices, assessment, and professional development. Drive collaboration and continuous improvement across the teaching teams. Foster a supportive, engaging learning environment for children, teachers, and families. Partner with leadership on staffing, scheduling, supervision, coverage, and day-to-day school operations.
WHAT YOU BRING: QUALIFICATIONSEducation (Required): Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. ECE Leadership Experience (Required): Minimum 3 years as a Director in a licensed Childcare Center Certification (Required): MA Director I or II Certification. Full-time, year-round | Monday–Friday | Shared opening/closing shifts Salary based on experience, education, and EEC certifications, plus annual bonus eligibility for EEC Director Qualified Candidates.
