About the role
Job Description:
The Inventory Specialist independently supports facility inventory control and product availability, with primary accountability for owes, receiving, inventory counts, stock monitoring, returns, recalls, and resolution of routine inventory issues. This position works collaboratively across MedWiz Operations, Management, Inventory, and Purchasing teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage receiving and distribution of wholesale medication deliveries.
Monitor and resolve owes, out-of-stock items, and replenishment needs with Purchasing.
Monitor the Inventory Dashboard and address routine inventory exceptions.
Perform assigned inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
Monitor stock levels and anticipated demand.
Coordinate monthly brand returns for supplier credit.
Support receiving, returns, and pre-pack workflows as needed.
Execute product recalls, including quarantine, notification, and return/credit steps.
Escalate significant inventory or supply issues to the Inventory Manager.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Current pharmacy technician license/registration, or ability to obtain it within the stated 3–6 month period.
Pharmacy operations experience.
Working knowledge of pharmaceutical products and inventory processes.
Familiarity with pharmacy-management and inventory-control systems.
Strong organization, problem solving, communication, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to meet stated physical and scheduling requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
PTCB/CPhT or other relevant pharmacy technician certification. Deeper experience with inventory systems, receiving, owes, returns, recalls, and pharmacy inventory controls.
