About the role

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in high-end retail construction to oversee luxury retail store build-outs, renovations, and interior construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience working in upscale retail environments for brands such as Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, or similar luxury retailers. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining strict quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the brand's exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily on-site construction activities for luxury retail build-outs, renovations, and remodels. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and project teams to maintain project schedules. Ensure all work meets high-end finish standards, architectural specifications, and quality expectations. Manage project schedules, site logistics, material deliveries, and manpower planning. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Coordinate with project managers, architects, designers, and client representatives. Monitor project progress and communicate updates, potential delays, and field issues to the project team. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site, especially in occupied retail environments and premium shopping destinations. Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing disruption to surrounding businesses and operations. Ensure projects are completed within established timelines and meet client expectations.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent. Previous experience with luxury retail construction, high-end retail build-outs, or upscale commercial interiors is strongly preferred. Experience working on projects for luxury brands such as Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, or comparable retailers is highly desirable. Strong understanding of interior finishes, millwork, custom fixtures, lighting, flooring, and detailed finish work. Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades in a fast-paced construction environment. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and architectural plans. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
