About the role
- Develop strategic plans and accurate forecasts for assigned accounts
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers, proactively resolving complex issues
- Develop and manage the assigned sales territory
- Grow and maintain both new and existing customer accounts
- Stay current on industry trends and product knowledge related to pumps, compressors, and blowers
- Identify new sales and service opportunities within the territory
- Provide solutions to customer challenges using company products (pumps, compressors, and blowers)
- Understand customer objectives, including operational and supply chain initiatives, and proactively offer solutions
- Build and expand relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations
- Demonstrate a customer-focused approach with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals and delivering cost savings
- Prepare and present routine cost-savings reports, with customer validation when possible
- Maintain strong process discipline and organizational practices
- Provide monthly DXP reports for key accounts, highlighting service issues, competitive activity, customer initiatives, and cost savings
- Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience in industrial products, preferably pumps, compressors, and blowers, or related experience
- Strong customer service mindset
- Proficient in computer applications
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing proposals and delivering solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships, including repeat and add-on business
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per company guidelines
