About the role

GENERAL PURPOSE The Service Technician II is an experienced maintenance professional responsible for assisting the Service Manager in completing tasks that ensure the physical aspects of the community meet the company’s established standards for safety, appearance, and operation. The Service Technician II maintains and operates all mechanical equipment, including devices used for heating and air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical, and performs all necessary preventative and repair service of all areas of the community, including vacant apartment preparation, appliance and HVAC repair, and general service. The Service Technician II works independently on complex repairs and provides guidance to less experienced technicians. All service associates report to the Service Manager or, in the Service Manager’s absence, to the Business Manager. All must comply with the company’s and community’s operating and safety policies and procedures and adhere to federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the operation of the community, including all laws relating to Fair Housing. Some weekend and evening shifts will be required, as well as being on call.
Position details: Full-time, $23–$26/hour based on experience - Benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) with immediate vesting; and a housing discount - Includes Saturdays and a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies
