Title: Estimator
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Compensation: Up to $115k + bonus
Our client, a well-established General Contractor in the Indianapolis market, is looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team. This position will support projects through the estimating and preconstruction process, working on a diverse portfolio across healthcare, education, municipal, commercial, multifamily, hospitality and senior living. Projects include a mix of ground-up construction, renovations and phased work throughout the Indianapolis market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare conceptual budgets and detailed construction estimates
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing across multiple trade scopes
- Manage subcontractor solicitation and bid coverage
- Review subcontractor proposals, identify scope gaps and complete bid leveling
- Assist with GMP preparation and final bid submissions
- Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
- Review drawings and specifications for constructability and potential risk
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents and preconstruction leadership
- Maintain relationships with local subcontractors and vendors
- Support project handoff from estimating into operations
- Required Experience & Skills
- Estimating experience with a General Contractor
- Experience preparing estimates for commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and trade scopes
- Experience with subcontractor pricing, takeoffs and bid leveling
- Experience across commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily or similar project types preferred
- Ground-up and renovation experience preferred
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Building
- Connected, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software
- Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills
- Indianapolis market experience preferred
