Summary: Using billing platforms, payment portals, spreadsheets, and shared document repositories, this fully remote, full-time Premium Billing Clerk keeps premium transactions accurate and easy to trace. You will support policyholder and agency accounts by posting payments, researching account variances, and maintaining clear billing records.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Enter and apply premium payments in the billing system, following established posting rules.
  • Review daily transaction queues, payment notices, and account balances for exceptions.
  • Match remittance details to policy and account records; flag missing or unclear information.
  • Prepare account activity details for agencies, policyholders, and internal finance partners.
  • Maintain organized digital support for refunds, adjustments, payment plans, and reconciliations.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with payment records, invoices, balances, or transaction logs through coursework or work experience.
  • Comfort navigating web-based finance or account-management systems.
  • Basic spreadsheet ability, including sorting, filtering, and checking totals.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and protect confidential account information.
  • Clear, professional written communication for payment and account questions.
  • Careful approach to matching dates, amounts, reference numbers, and policy details.
