The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and developing the strategic vision, operating standards, and systems roadmap for the planning function. This includes owning the point of view for planning, making high-stakes decisions, and ensuring operational rigor to deliver a great customer experience and financial results through inventory. The role demands a proven executive leader with a strong background in merchandise planning, inventory management, and allocation, particularly in a wholesale retail business with a significant scale. The VP will also be tasked with building and driving the planning point of view behind the company's expansion, as well as owning the inventory strategy and health end-to-end. Applicants for the VP role at the company should have a track record of setting strategic vision and operating standards for a planning organization, as well as experience in high-stakes decision-making and the discipline to see those decisions through. The ideal candidate will be a strong people manager, capable of building a high-performance team culture, and will have a history of designing and scaling planning organizations. Fluency in inventory KPIs and experience with demand planning or allocation platform implementation is essential. The role requires a leader who is comfortable operating as a strategic partner to merchandising, supply chain, and data/finance leaders, and who is adept at using AI in their work. The VP will be expected to lead the team in response to inventory incidents and to establish planning as an equal partner in cross-functional forums.Hiring Manager TitleCFO/COOFunctionsOperationsData Management/Analytics
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
