GEON is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to identify, develop, and commercialize new opportunities across the mobility market. This role will lead growth initiatives with automotive OEMs, Tier suppliers, and strategic partners while expanding GEON's presence through new applications, products, and markets.
What You'll Do: Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities. Develop market intelligence and Voice of Customer (VOC) insights that drive strategy and innovation. Expand GEON's Total Addressable Market (TAM) through new applications, partnerships, and business opportunities. Build relationships with OEMs, Tier suppliers, research organizations, and industry partners. Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate, prioritize, and commercialize new opportunities. Develop business cases, value propositions, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans. Partner with Sales to build a robust pipeline and convert opportunities into profitable, recurring revenue. Support material approvals, qualification programs, and successful product launches.
What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in business development, technical sales, product management, strategic marketing, or innovation. Strong understanding of polymer materials, compounding technologies, and end-use applications. Proven success developing new markets, applications, or revenue streams. Experience working with automotive OEMs, material approvals, PPAP processes, and long-cycle qualification programs. Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and convert opportunities into sustainable growth.
