This is an opportunity to join a growing structural engineering firm and work closely with engineers and designers on a diverse range of building and construction projects. The successful candidate will translate engineer markups, sketches, calculations, and design concepts into high-quality Revit models and AutoCAD drawings while helping ensure that the Firm’s documents are complete, coordinated, constructable, and consistent with company standards. The role is well suited for a drafter/designer who takes ownership of drawing quality, works accurately and efficiently, communicates well with technical teams, and wants to continue developing expertise in structural detailing, BIM practices, building systems, and construction.

Interpret and incorporate engineer redlines and revisions accurately and efficiently throughout design development, permitting, bidding, and construction administration. Coordinate structural models and drawings with architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines. Identify drawing inconsistencies, coordination conflicts, and constructability issues before documents are issued; communicate concerns early and collaborate with project engineers on solutions. Maintain Firm’s CAD/BIM standards by following and helping improve drafting standards, Revit templates, families, detail libraries, sheet organization, and related documentation practices. Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and constructability before submission, taking ownership of the quality of assigned drawing packages. Work closely with project engineers and other team members to meet project schedules and client deadlines while managing multiple projects and priorities. Develop increasing proficiency in structural detailing, building systems, construction materials, and construction practices. Look for opportunities to improve drafting workflows, automation, Revit efficiency, and overall document-production processes. Participate in training and continuous learning to expand technical and industry knowledge.
Required Qualifications: At least two years of experience using Revit in the design and documentation of commercial, residential, institutional, and/or industrial projects. Strong working knowledge of Revit Structure and AutoCAD.Demonstrated experience producing construction documents and working from technical markups, sketches, and design direction. Familiarity with structural steel, concrete, masonry, light-gauge/cold-formed steel, and wood-framed construction. Ability to manage multiple projects or assignments simultaneously and meet established deadlines. High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills. Ability to work productively with engineers and designers, receive feedback, and incorporate revisions with minimal rework. Preferred Background & Attributes Education or professional experience in drafting, CAD/BIM, architecture, interior architecture/design, engineering technology, construction documentation, or a related discipline. Experience developing or maintaining Revit libraries, templates, families, design standards, or drawing standards. Experience coordinating construction documents across multiple design disciplines. A self-directed work style with the ability to maintain a consistent, productive pace and follow through on assignments. Curiosity and a desire to grow in structural detailing, BIM coordination, construction practices, and document quality. A service-oriented mindset consistent with the Firm’s emphasis on coordination, customer service, investment in people, diligence, and continuous improvement. Project & Technical Environment The Firm’s project portfolio includes commercial buildings, industrial facilities, high-end custom residences, hangars and warehouses, educational and religious facilities, multi-family projects, existing-building modifications, historic preservation, infrastructure, specialty structures, construction engineering, and other technically challenging assignments. The firm's structural work includes a variety of foundation and framing systems and materials, including structural steel, concrete, masonry, wood/timber framing, post-tensioned and prestressed concrete, and cold-formed steel.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
