About the role
Ambassador Personnel is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering a competitive benefits package, including 401(k) and vacation benefits. The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor will lead and support hourly maintenance employees while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This position works closely with plant leadership and plays an important role in employee development, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and overall maintenance department performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage hourly maintenance employees on shift Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) activities and respond to line calls Support hiring, employee reviews, coaching, training, and disciplinary processes Communicate shift priorities and preparation with incoming and outgoing shifts Review parts requests and manage parts checked out during the shift Utilize SAP to review work requests, PM orders, and breakdown notifications Troubleshoot equipment issues and execute small-scale maintenance projects Maintain shift reporting and assist with next-day planning Train and coach maintenance technicians and apprentices Conduct critical process inspections and verify completion of PM work Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, EEO standards, labor regulations, and applicable operating procedures Maintain or obtain required licenses for boilers, refrigeration components, and other applicable equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience Demonstrated knowledge of: Industrial electrical wiringPLC troubleshooting Motor controls Equipment repair and installation Strong leadership, problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills Ability to adapt to changing operational needs Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
Education Requirements:
