Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $45.00 to $50.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage fixed asset accounting activities, including asset tracking, depreciation, reconciliations, and financial reporting support.
Oversee lease accounting processes by maintaining schedules, recording transactions, and ensuring accurate reporting of lease obligations.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the month end and year end close process.
Analyze financial activity, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate accounting records.
Support audits, compliance requirements, financial reporting projects, and cross functional accounting initiatives.
Requirements:
A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger and close process exposure.
Previous experience with fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations.
Knowledge of lease accounting and financial reporting requirements related to leased assets and obligations.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and reconciliation procedures.
Qualifications:
Advanced Excel skills with experience analyzing large data sets and preparing complex accounting schedules.
Prior experience with ERP systems, fixed asset applications, lease accounting software, or similar financial platforms.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with a focus on identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Public accounting experience, professional certification, or experience in a multi entity environment.
