Job Description

Inspector/Packer RoleThe Inspector/Packer ensures all finished metal parts and components meet strict dimensional, physical, and visual quality standards prior to shipment. This role supports daily plant production by executing accurate receiving, cycle counting, packaging, and quality verification processes. Inspector/Packer Responsibilities Perform dimensional, physical, and visual inspections of manufactured metal parts Package finished products safely for shipping, including boxing and labeling Receive incoming materials, purchased parts, and fasteners Perform cycle counts, weight counts, and inventory audits Utilize the company quality management system to log inspection results Assist team members in developing and executing process or part audits Execute general labor and production tasks assigned by management Inspector/Packer Reporting Relationships Reports directly to the Production Manager or Quality Supervisor with no direct reports.
About You:
  • Hold a High School Diploma or GEDPossess prior experience in metal fabrication, metal assembly, or visual inspection
  • Utilize precision tools such as calipers and maintain a basic understanding of print reading
  • Demonstrate intermediate math skills for inventory, batch, cycle, and weight counting
  • Maintain effective oral and written communication skills alongside strong interpersonal abilities
  • Exhibit adaptability and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift metal components and packages throughout the shift
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing shop environment
  • Ability to handle precision tools and read technical documentation accurately
