About the role
Titan Professional Resources is partnering with a valued client to identify a detail-oriented SQL Programmer. This individual will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting database-driven solutions within an insurance-focused environment. The position works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure reliable data processes, accurate reporting, and efficient system performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, write, and maintain SQL queries to support business operations and reporting needs Perform database troubleshooting, testing, and debugging to ensure optimal performance Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions Build and modify queries utilizing joins, filters, aggregations, and grouping techniques Assist in the development and maintenance of basic stored procedures Improve and streamline data processes to enhance overall system functionality and efficiency Validate data integrity and accuracy across multiple systems Document processes, code updates, and system changes as needed
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience writing and optimizing SQL queries (including SELECT, JOIN, and GROUP BY statements)Familiarity with stored procedures and basic database programming concepts General understanding of programming or scripting principles Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to Python for data manipulation or automation tasks Prior experience working with insurance-related systems or familiarity with industry terminology Working knowledge of additional programming or web technologies such as PHP, HTML, or Java
