About the Role:
Designs, engineers, and supports enterprise endpoint computing solutions -Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows endpoints, and endpoint security platforms. Ensures secure, reliable, and efficient end-user computing services through automation, endpoint lifecycle management, policy governance, and platform optimization, enabling workforce productivity and maintaining a stable enterprise computing environment.(need local resources from these locations) Location Alpharetta, GACharlotte, NCChicago, ILConshohocken, PADenver, COFargo, NDGarden City, NYHouston, TXLubbock, TXMorristown, NJMt Juliet, TNNew York, NYPurchase, NYTopeka, KSHYBRID - 3 days onsite.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary SkillDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Azure Virtual Desktop and related Microsoft technologies. Provide Tier 3/Tier 4 escalation support for virtual desktop infrastructure incidents and perform root cause analysis. Design & Manage AVD host pools, application groups, workspaces, session hosts, and FSLogix profiles. Build, maintain, and optimize Windows 10/11 multi-session and single-session golden images. Monitor AVD platform health, user experience, capacity, and performance using Azure monitoring tools. Implement and maintain automated image creation, deployment, and lifecycle management processes. Collaborate with cloud, networking, identity, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless AVD operations. Implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies for AVD environments. Secondary (Good to have) Optimize Azure costs through resource planning, autoscaling, capacity management, and monitoring. Good to have integration with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, and Conditional Access policies. Design and enforce endpoint security controls and compliance standards within AVD environments. Manage Windows Update for Business and patch management processes for AVD session hosts. Evaluate and implement new Microsoft Azure and AVD capabilities to improve service delivery. Good to have knowledge in infrastructure-as-code and automation solutions using PowerShell, Azure Automation, ARM/Bicep, or Terraform.
