About the role

If you are fluent in both Spanish and English and would like to use your language skills in a meaningful way-consider volunteering at Samaritan House San Mateo Free Clinic. Our clientele is largely Spanish-speaking, but many of our doctors and nurses are not. Our volunteer interpreters assist our volunteer medical professionals by translating for them in their interaction with patients. This is an interesting volunteer opportunity, in a setting that is warm and friendly. The Clinic is open M-F, 9am-5pm, and some evenings If you would like more information, please contact the Volunteer office at 650-294-4331 or rdavis@samaritanhousesanmateo.org. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
