About the role

CVS Health is seeking Pharmacy Technicians to assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions, assisting customers, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for receiving prescription orders, entering prescription information into the pharmacy system, counting and measuring medications, labeling prescriptions, processing insurance claims, handling customer transactions, and assisting customers at the pharmacy counter and drive-thru. Technicians also answer phone calls, contact insurance companies for claim processing, restock medications, maintain patient records, and ensure the pharmacy area remains clean and organized. This position typically pays $16 to $22 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, holiday pay, and shift differential pay for evening or weekend shifts depending on location and experience. Pharmacy Technicians must follow CVS pharmacy procedures, HIPAA privacy regulations, and state pharmacy laws while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Employees are responsible for maintaining accuracy, protecting patient information, and providing customer service to pharmacy customers. Full-time employees may be eligible for benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, employee discount programs, tuition assistance programs, and opportunities for advancement into Lead Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Operations Manager, or Pharmacist training programs. CVS may also assist employees with Pharmacy Technician certification and licensing where required by state law.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
