Accounts Payable Supervisor $70,000–$85,000 | Direct Hire We are recruiting for an established client in the logistics and transportation industry seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an AP professional who enjoys a combination of hands-on accounting work and team leadership. The position will oversee a small AP team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounts payable operations.
What You'll Do: Supervise and support a team of two Accounts Payable professionals Oversee daily accounts payable processing and ensure invoices are accurately and efficiently processed Review and approve invoices, payments, and related documentation Help ensure accurate coding, matching, and reconciliation of invoices Monitor AP workflows and resolve discrepancies or issues Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations Maintain accurate and organized AP records Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency Provide training, guidance, and support to AP team members Partner with internal departments and vendors to resolve payment-related questions Take a hands-on approach to AP while providing day-to-day leadership What We're Looking For 5+ years of accounts payable experience Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting fundamentals Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently while effectively leading a small team Strong communication and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment
