Description:
We are looking for a Medical Front Desk Specialist to support a busy maternal care practice in Brookline, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can create a welcoming patient experience while keeping front-desk operations organized and efficient. The person in this role will assist with appointment coordination, patient intake, and records-related requests in a setting that serves high-risk pregnancy and referral-based care.
Responsibilities:
Welcome patients upon arrival, complete the check-in process, and ensure visit information is accurately documented.
Coordinate new and follow-up appointments while helping maintain an orderly daily schedule for the practice.
Respond to medical records inquiries and facilitate the release or collection of documentation in accordance with office procedures.
Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and referring offices to support smooth front-desk operations.
Manage a steady daily flow of approximately 18 to 20 patients while maintaining a high standard of service.
Provide administrative support for a clinical team of four providers in a specialized maternal care environment.
Use medical terminology appropriately when handling patient information, scheduling needs, and general front-office communication.
Help create a patient-centered experience by addressing questions professionally and prioritizing patient needs throughout each interaction. Requirements - Basic understanding of medical terminology and the ability to apply it in a front-desk healthcare setting.
Previous experience in patient registration, medical reception, or a similar healthcare administrative role.
Comfortable scheduling appointments and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
Ability to handle medical records requests with attention to detail and respect for confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal skills with a detail-oriented, patient-focused approach to service.
Capable of supporting a referral-based practice that handles high-risk pregnancy and maternal care patients.
Reliable organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in coordination with multiple providers. TalentMatch
