About the role

The Director, Communications will lead the development and execution of internal and external communications strategies related to crises, issues management, reputation protection and incident response across Honeywell. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and partners closely with Legal, Human Resources, Government Relations, Investor Relations and business communications teams to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent communications during critical events.The ideal candidate is an experienced communications professional with exceptional judgment, strong media relations skills and a demonstrated ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations in a corporate environment. This role requires flexibility to respond to emerging issues outside normal business hours and the ability to lead high-stakes communications efforts in a fast-moving, global environment. YOU MUST HAVE10+ years of experience in leading crisis communicationsProven track record in developing and executing successful communication strategiesExperience in managing media relations and crisis communicationFamiliarity with crisis management frameworks, reputation management, and risk communicationsFlexibility to support crisis and issues management activities outside of normal working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, when necessaryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExcellent interpersonal and networking skillsWE VALUEBachelor's degree in communications, business, or related field Experience in a global corporate environmentBackground in manufacturing, industrial, technology or highly regulated industriesLabor relations communications experienceExperience supporting financial communications, including quarterly earnings, investor events, M&A transactions, divestitures or other major corporate announcements.
