Job Purpose SG Property Management is seeking a Trading Card Specialist to drive acquisitions and live sales for its Dream Big Collectibles operation. This role is centered on evaluating collections, negotiating purchases, and sourcing inventory across Pokémon, One Piece, sports cards, and other trading card categories. The specialist will research market values, build data-backed offers, and close deals - then help move that inventory through online marketplaces and live-selling platforms. The ideal candidate knows the card market cold, negotiates with confidence, is comfortable on camera for live rips, breaks, and auctions, and can pitch in on social media content for TikTok, Instagram, and Whatnot.
Duties & Responsibilities Evaluate incoming collections (Pokémon, One Piece, sports cards, and other TCGs) for authenticity, condition, completeness, and market value
Lead purchase negotiations with sellers - build fair, data-backed offers on singles, lots, sealed product, and full collections, and close deals that hit target margins
Actively source inventory through marketplaces, card shows, local sellers, estate/collection leads, social media, and community networks
Research current market values using sold comps, population reports, and pricing tools to set accurate buy, sell, and trade pricing
Grade and categorize cards based on condition (corners, surface, edges, centering) using established grading standards, and flag grading candidates
Identify pricing trends and flag high-value, rare, or fast-moving cards for specialized handling
List, update, and manage card inventory across online marketplaces and live-selling platforms
Appear on camera for live rips, box breaks, and auctions on Whatnot, TikTok, and other live-selling platforms - energy and audience engagement are part of the job
Support the social media campaign: create and schedule postings, and assist with video/image editing for TikTok, Instagram, and Whatnot content
Maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets tracking inventory counts, cost basis, sale price, and profit/loss
Process purchases, sales, and trades with accurate recordkeeping of every transaction, and reconcile platform reports against internal records
Package and prepare cards for safe shipping, and respond to customer inquiries professionally
Follow the company's strict code of ethics and protect any confidential or financial information
Communicate regularly with management on sourcing pipeline, inventory status, sales performance, and pricing concerns
Qualifications / Competencies Strong working knowledge of the trading card market required - Pokémon and/or One Piece TCG expertise strongly preferred; sports card expertise a plus
Proven ability to evaluate collections and negotiate purchases confidently, fairly, and profitably
Self-starter mindset for sourcing - comfortable hunting deals, working leads, and building seller relationships
Must be comfortable and engaging on camera for live streams, breaks, and auctions
Experience with social media content creation preferred - posting, short-form video, and basic video/image editing (TikTok, Instagram, Whatnot)
Comfortable buying, selling, and trading on online marketplaces and live-selling platforms
Good working with numbers and proficient in Excel (formulas, tracking sheets, basic reporting)
Ability to think creatively, spot pricing trends, and problem-solve independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail when inspecting card condition
Trustworthy and comfortable handling collectible items, cash offers, and financial transactions with accuracy
High school diploma or equivalent required
Compensation $16-$18 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated market knowledge
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Substantial, repetitive movement of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers while inspecting and handling cards
Extended periods on camera during live streams, breaks, and auctions
Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily tasks of an administrative nature
Manual dexterity sufficient to handle small items and perceive fine details of cards and materials
Occasional local travel to card shows, meetups, or collection pickups may be required

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
