Role Description:
The Field Sales Representative is a full-time, remote role responsible for driving retail and on-the-go sales for Flerish Hydration across assigned territories, with regular travel for in-person sales activities. This role focuses on prospecting and securing new retail accounts, nurturing relationships with existing partners, and executing in-store promotions and merchandising initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include visiting accounts, presenting product benefits, negotiating placements, monitoring inventory and shelf presence, and gathering market feedback to inform sales strategies. The Field Sales Representative will collaborate closely with marketing and operations to support product launches, sampling events, and brand activations, while consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. The role also involves reporting on performance, using CRM tools, and representing Flerish professionally at industry events and local community engagements. What You'll Own Retail Execution & Merchandising Manage and grow relationships with store-level managers, category leads, and buyers across Kroger and other grocery/natural retail doors Ensure proper shelf placement, planogram compliance, secondary displays, and POS materials are executed and maintained Conduct regular store checks to monitor stock levels, freshness/rotation, and shelf presence; flag out-of-stocks and velocity issues immediately Activation & Sampling Programs Plan and execute in-store demos, sampling events, and brand activations (building on the Kroger meet-and-greet model) across grocery, retail, country clubs, and food service accounts Coordinate directly with the 2 brand ambassadors on staff to schedule, staff, and measure field activations Track and report activation ROI — units sold during/after events, new account conversion, and door-level velocity lift — back to leadership in a format that plugs into our weekly scorecard New Account & Channel Development Identify and open new opportunities across underdeveloped channels: country clubs, food service, premium fitness, and independent/specialty retail Build the relationship pipeline for new doors in coordination with brokers and distributor partners Represent Flerish at trade shows, local market events, and channel-specific sales opportunities as needed Distributor & Retail Partner Support Serve as the field-level extension of our distributor relationships — ensuring distributor reps and Flerish are aligned on priority doors, sequencing, and execution standards Provide real-time field intelligence (competitor activity, shelf conditions, buyer feedback) that feeds directly into distributor health reporting Support new distributor onboarding with market walks, ride-withs, and account introductions Reporting & Accountability Maintain accurate, timely records of store visits, account status, and activation results Contribute door-level velocity and reorder data to the weekly leadership scorecard (doors, velocity by tier, activation ROI)Flag red/amber issues (stockouts, reset losses, underperforming doors) proactively rather than waiting for the weekly call What You Bring 3+ years of field sales or brand ambassador leadership experience in beverage, food, or CPG — ideally with direct experience helping build/scale an emerging or challenger brand (not just maintaining an established one)Proven track record of driving retail velocity and door growth in grocery, natural channel, or specialty accounts Experience managing or coordinating brand ambassadors, demo teams, or field marketing staff xhqgsiq Comfort working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and distributor partners — you understand that a great sampling event and a distributor's reorder decision are the same conversation, not two different jobs Self-directed and comfortable owning a territory with minimal daily oversight — you report results, not just activity Existing relationships with grocery buyers, distributor reps, or food service/country club decision-makers in the territory a strong plus Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within territory (reliable vehicle required; mileage reimbursed)Ability to lift/carry product cases (up to 35 lbs) and stand for extended periods during activations What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days Fully onboarded on Flerish brand story, product line, and claims discipline (no off-script claims — beauty/functional claims are gated and must follow approved language)Established consistent store-check cadence across existing door base Executed at least [X] activations with documented velocity lift, coordinated with existing brand ambassadors Identified and opened conversations with [X] new accounts in food service/country club/specialty channels Delivered clean, on-time weekly reporting that plugs directly into the leadership scorecard Compensation & Structure Base salary (DOE) + performance incentive tied to door velocity/new account growth + Mileage/travel reimbursement
