Location On-site at 1575 S. Price Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286.Summary Our company is looking for an Engineer, Guidance, Navigation, and Control 3 to support our GNC Department. As a member of the SW/GNC Department, you'll get to work on the Glide Phase Interceptor Program.
Responsibilities: Designs, develops, implements, verifies, and tests algorithms and software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation, and control of aircraft, spacecraft, submersibles, surface ships, missiles, launch vehicles, and upper stages during powered and coast phases of launch, flight, Earth orbit, interplanetary cruise and orbital insertion, as well as during staging events. Navigation functions include statistically processing measured data points and substituting them into algorithms that simulate physical reality. Guidance functions include formulating specific equations to achieve a desired position, orientation, or orbit in space. Control design and analysis processes consist of the development of the control laws and hardware and software requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft. Basic Qualifications for Engineer Guidance Navigation Control 3Experience with Kalman Filtering Experience with signal processing for guided missiles and/or interceptors. Proficiency in creating and maintaining algorithms and analysis tools in C++, MATLAB, and PythonStrong foundation in probability theory / statistics Experience with Electro-Optical imaging systems Travel 10% of the time Preferred Qualifications for Engineer Guidance Navigation Control 3Advanced degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or applied math Experience with onboard/offboard sensor fusion Experience with analyzing large Monte Carlo data sets and/or experience with designing and analyzing simulation experiments
