Roadway Traffic Controller (Flagger) - Flexible Shifts

Key Responsibilities: Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic in and around construction sites. Communicate effectively with drivers to provide safe passage through work zones. Use hand signals, signs, radios, and safety equipment to manage traffic flow. Monitor site conditions and respond quickly to emergencies or hazards. Coordinate with construction crews to ensure safe and efficient workflow. Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signage. Follow all safety guidelines, legal regulations, and company procedures. Report unsafe behavior, traffic violations, or accidents to supervisors.

Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods in varying weather conditions. Willingness to work outdoors in challenging environments. Experience Prior experience in traffic control, construction sites, or related roles is an advantage but not mandatory. Training or certification in traffic control is preferred. Working Hours Full-time position with flexible shifts depending on project schedules. May include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of traffic safety rules and regulations. Ability to use traffic control tools such as stop/slow paddles and two-way radios. Strong situational awareness and quick decision-making skills. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
