Bilingual Customer Service & Language Specialist (Ukrainian)Universal Language Service, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and professional Bilingual Customer Service & Language Specialist (Ukrainian) to join our team. This dual-role position combines real-time over-the-phone and video remote interpretation (OPI/VRI) services with administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. A full benefits package is available, including medical insurance.Key Responsibilities:Deliver real-time OPI/VRI interpretation services in Ukrainian and EnglishAssist interpreters with completing and updating profiles and documentationFollow up with interpreters to ensure records are current and compliantMaintain clear and professional communication with interpreters and internal teamsHandle sensitive information with confidentiality and accuracyCoordinate interpreter assignments, efficiently manage schedules, and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of client requestsMaintain interpreter account records, updating information related to assignments, availability, and billing accuratelyProactively troubleshoot scheduling issues, providing timely and effective solutionsRequirements:Strong bilingual proficiency in English and UkrainianExcellent communication, organization, and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage administrative documentationAbility to work full-time, on-site (MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM PST or 8:30 AM5:30 PM PST)Prior interpretation experience preferredMedical DSHS or national interpreter certification/qualification (e.g. NBCMI, CCHI, Other) is a plus (support provided for those seeking DSHS Medical recognition)Education & Professional Background:Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Human Resources, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, interpretation, or translationWork Environment & Screening Requirements:This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Bellevue, WA corporate officeRemote work is not permittedCandidates must pass a full-panel drug and alcohol screening and a national criminal background checkCompensation:Up to $25 per hour, depending on qualifications and relevant experience. Full benefits package available, including medical insurance.
