About the role
Boutique, Staten Island based, NYC law firm specializing in plaintiff's medical malpractice and personal injury in NY and NJ seeking Legal Secretary. Wide range of responsibilities, i.e. filing and file maintenance, answering phones, maintaining firm's calendar, case intake, regular phone contact with clients and other parties, meeting and signing up new clients, document/medical record request, review and scanning, working up files, research and writing as needed, drafting complaints, pleadings, discovery demands/responses and motions, etc., assisting in trial preparation and trials, etc. Must be proficient in use of email/internet, word processing, law firm case management software CLIO, etc. Experience preferred. Send resume and salary request. ** This is an IN PERSON position, remote work is not offered. This is a multi-task position for a small law office- the hired person will be responsible for a variety of duties that may not be included above, as needed. Verifiable references required.
