About the role

About Us: We're Closed Won Talent, a sales and go-to-market recruiting agency that specializes in working with fast-growing startups. If you're exploring your next move, we might have just the opportunity for you, including this one.
About the Company: Our client is a venture-backed AI marketing compliance platform helping credit unions, banks, asset managers, fintechs, and large enterprises avoid getting sued or sanctioned for misleading marketing. Today, most regulated companies still approve marketing by emailing it to compliance or legal and waiting, sometimes for weeks. This platform reviews every asset against the rules that apply, such as UDAAP, Reg Z, and NCUA guidance, suggests approved language, and keeps a full audit trail for examiners, so teams can launch faster and stay audit-ready. The company was founded by a former Brex and Mercury product marketing leader and is based in the Southeast, with its office in Raleigh-Durham. Demand is moving fast. The business was up 300% last quarter, has 180+ deals in flight, and receives strong inbound interest every month. According to the founders, there's no direct competition in the credit union space today.
About the Role: This is the company's first Account Executive hire, and you'll own the community financial institution market: credit unions, community banks, and smaller asset managers. Right now the CEO and one other seller run all sales, and this role is how the founders step back from day-to-day selling and build the company's first vertical sales pod. You'll work directly with the CEO and Head of Revenue and have a real voice in shaping the playbook, pricing, packaging, and positioning. You'll build pipeline through inbound, outbound, partners, credit union networks, and financial institution conferences, of which there are two or three a month. Your buyers are primarily compliance leaders, with innovation teams often acting as the first touch and champion. The sales process runs through discovery, a demo built on a sandbox of the prospect's own marketing materials, a follow-up demo with senior compliance or legal leadership, and then proposal and contract, with sandbox access or a structured pilot when a prospect needs more confidence. Cycles typically run three to six months. Deals start around $35K and run past $85K, and with four products to sell into each account, there's a strong opportunity to land and expand after the first contract. Must-Have RequirementsA track record of selling to credit unions, banks, or other financial institutions Full-cycle, quota-carrying B2B SaaS sales experience, from pipeline generation through close Experience at an early-stage startup or in a founder-led sales environment where the playbook was still being written Strong comfort with technology and a genuine, demonstrated interest in AI, whether through your current role or how you work on your own The ability to earn trust with skeptical compliance, risk, and legal buyers who read every word Comfort running many deals at once with multiple stakeholdersA self-sufficient approach, without needing someone else to prep your demos, build your outbound, or attend conferences for you Enthusiasm for frequent travel to conferences and customers Based in or willing to relocate to the Raleigh-Durham area Nice-to-

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
