About the role

You Tube Media Buyer
Location: NEEDS TO BE WITHIN DMV AREASetup: Hybrid (in office weekly)
Compensation: 70,000–90,000/year If you have real experience running and scaling You Tube ad campaigns, understand direct-response marketing, and want to work with a team of experienced marketers who actually enjoy what they do, keep reading. We’re Adsurdly, a marketing agency working with some of the largest law firms in the country. We specialize in generating cases for our clients through paid media, SEO, and other marketing channels. We’re a team based in Annapolis, MD, and we’re looking for an experienced You Tube Media Buyer to join us. We work hard, move fast, and have a lot of fun doing it. We’re a pretty tight-knit team, and we want someone who’s excited to come into the office, throw ideas around, test things, and help us get better.
THE ROLE: We’re looking for someone who really knows You Tube Ads. Not someone who has launched a few You Tube campaigns as part of a larger Google Ads account. We want someone who understands how to build, test, optimize, and scale You Tube campaigns and knows how much creative impacts performance. You’ll work closely with our media buying and creative teams to test new hooks, angles, audiences, offers, and landing pages. We want someone who can look at an account, figure out what’s working and what isn’t, and come up with a plan for what to test next.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Building, launching, managing, and scaling You Tube campaigns Testing audiences, creatives, hooks, offers, and landing pages Monitoring CPL, CPA, conversion rates, spend, lead quality, and overall campaign performance Finding opportunities to scale winning campaigns Troubleshooting campaigns when performance drops Working directly with our creative team on new video concepts, hooks, scripts, and angles Using campaign data to help decide what creative we should test next Researching competitors and new opportunities Managing multiple campaigns and markets at once Keeping tests and results organized so we know what worked, what didn't, and what we're testing nextWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR2+ years of hands-on experience running You Tube Ads Experience managing and scaling performance-focused campaigns Strong understanding of Google Ads and You Tube campaign structures Experience managing meaningful monthly ad spend Strong understanding of direct-response marketing Comfortable working with numbers and making decisions based on performance data Good understanding of creative testing, hooks, messaging, and offers Experience managing multiple campaigns at once Lead generation experience is strongly preferred Experience in legal, personal injury, or other high-value lead generation is a plus We're also looking for someone who takes ownership. If something isn't working, you don't wait for someone else to point it out. You dig into the numbers, figure out what might be happening, and come back with ideas to fix it. And when something is working, you know how to build on it.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: You know your campaigns inside and out. You know what's performing, what's struggling, what we're testing, and what we should try next. You work closely with our creative team instead of treating creative as something that just gets handed to you. You’re constantly testing and learning, but you're not testing things just for the sake of testing. There should be a reason behind what you're doing. Over time, we'd like this person to take real ownership of You Tube at Adsurdly and help us continue building out the channel. WORKING AT ADSURDLYWe're serious about growing the company, but we're not trying to build a boring corporate office. We like working with smart people who are good at what they do, can take a joke, bring ideas to the table, and don't need to be micromanaged. You'll be working in person with our team in Washington, DC, which means more collaboration, faster feedback, and plenty of conversations that start with, "What if we tried this?"
What we offer: 70,000–90,000 annual salary, depending on experience Health benefits Paid time off Conferences, coaching, and training opportunities The chance to work directly with experienced marketersA lot of room to test your ideas We don't expect you to know everything. But we do expect you to know You Tube Ads, care about getting better, and be willing to take ownership of your work. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
