About the role
Cusdial Supervisor (Night Crew) The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Custodial Supervisor (Night Crew) on the Dahlonega campus. This position requires the supervision of 4 custodians and is responsible for maintaining the appearance of multiple buildings on campus as well as supporting set up and take down of campus events/activities. Responsibilities include managing the custodial operations of assigned buildings which includes floor/carpet maintenance, cleaning of restrooms, locker rooms, offices, meeting rooms, treatment rooms and common areas. Provide custodial support and assist with set up/take down requirements at the Convocation Center. Manage the custodial operations of multiple buildings which includes floor and carpet maintenance, trash pickup, cleaning of offices, classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, meeting rooms, treatment rooms and common areas. Maintaining custodial equipment and supply levels for assigned buildings. Responsible for coordinating after hours/weekend support that relate to specials events/emergencies. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned to support UNG Facilities operations. Assist with set up and take down of special events throughout campus. Working knowledge of custodial equipment (floor scrubbers, buffers, extraction machines, scissor lifts and wet/dry vacuum). Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper application. Ability to perform physical labor to include but not limited to lifting, pushing/pulling objects up to 60 pounds, climbing and working from ladders up to 32 feet tall, and performing manual labor tasks for extended periods. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions. This is a working supervisor position requiring ability to operate equipment. Able to operate small hand tools; Balancing; Bending Over; Carrying; Climb up and down ladder; Climb up onto and down from equipment. Crawling; Crouching; Eye/hand coordination; Grasping; Hazards such as electrical, chemical, biological; Hearing; Inside/outside environmental factors; Kneeling; Constant, medium, constant lifting; Moving; Pulling; Pushing; Reaching; Reaching Overhead; Repetitive use of hands/arms; Repetitive use of legs; Sitting; Standing; Stooping; Talking; Twisting; Walking (include distance). Ability to work heights up to 60 feet using man lifts and ladders; operate vehicles; trucks; golf carts. Required Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED required. Must possess a valid State of Georgia Driver's License. Minimum of two (2) years custodial experience required.
