About the role

Missions Under the authority of the director of the Department of Graphic Arts, the head of the study and documentation service SED (F/H) supervises a team of 9 staff members (5 scientific documentalists, 2 study and research officers, 1 documentation officer, and 1 external agent Conservator of the Custodia Foundation) and ensures the proper functioning of the documentation on organizational, scientific, human, and financial levels. Through its missions, the SED contributes to the study, enhancement, and dissemination of the collections of the DAG.The documentation of the Department of Graphic Arts is a fund dedicated to the museum's collection of graphic arts, consisting of artist and work dossiers in paper format accessible to the public, a public database of graphic arts, a shared research library with the Department of Paintings internally, archives, and an important photographic collection. It constitutes the fundamental tool for the study of collections and research within the department. Profile Sought Management experience and team leadership of 5 to 10 years minimum Mastery of documentary techniques, librarians, and management of public document funds Professional mastery of the history of graphic arts Mastery of standard office tools Proficiency in English and, if possible, another foreign language is desirable Knowledge of the environment of a heritage documentation, particularly that of a museum conservation Knowledge of specific software (Museum Plus and File Maker pro)Commitment and reflection on the challenges of digital and innovative technologies (notably AI)
