Look no further than Saint Luke's!* Collects patient samples using best practices for phlebotomy. Documents receipt of patient samples in Lab Information System (LIS) and prepares them for analysis. As a Lead LST, this individual has additional accountability for assigned administrative tasks or projects and serving as a role model for the LST group in the department. * FT - Days 3 12-hour shifts per week: 0700-1930 Week 1: Sunday, Monday Tuesday. Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday* Collects patient specimens in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards.* Correlates patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR.* Performs and reports Point of Care laboratory testing as required.* Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that may interfere with accurate sample collection.* Trains new employees and precepts phlebotomy students.* Assists with competency evaluations.* Manages supply ordering and inventory levels.* Manages and directs staff scheduling, as assigned.* Serves as a resource for staff to resolve problems or issues that may impact patient care.* Participates in performance improvement activities, as assigned.* Phlebotomy Certification, ASCP or HNA (required) within 9 months of hire# Job RequirementsApplicable Experience: Less than 1 year# Job DetailsFull TimeDay (United States of America)
