About the role
The Team The Innovation & Delivery Transformation (I&DT) team is building the future of Deloitte's business through new AI-native platforms and products. The team is responsible for identifying, nurturing, scaling, and winning in new markets through new capabilities. Rather than relying on what the firm has historically done, I&DT looks ahead and invests in areas where growth is expected three, five, and ten years into the future.
Are you looking for a unique opportunity with both start-up spirit AND enterprise strength? Deloitte's Converge for FSI business offers both! We are looking for a talented individual with an innovative mindset to join the Converge for FSI team in our mission to develop differentiated financial services products that achieve product-market fit. This is a great opportunity to be on the frontlines of Deloitte's innovation & product strategy while staying close to industry/sector priorities.
Position Summary Are you energized by both winning the deal and delivering on it? As a Product Forward Deployed Engineer (pFDE), you'll be the GTM & Delivery engine for Signals, a priority product in the Converge for FSI portfolio. Signals is a proprietary set of data assets coupled with AI, data science, and statistical models that help our clients drive business growth and power decisions in a dynamic and changing market. You'll bring core consulting skills, financial services industry knowledge, and the ability to work with key stakeholders (product managers, technical / engineering teams, and Market Makers) to qualify product fit, pitch / demo products to clients, shape & commercialize opportunities, and deliver work by managing scope, timeline, and client outcomes. You'll be expected to be equally comfortable pitching and demoing to a C-suite leader as you are working with product / engineering teams to deliver on a proof of concept.
Recruiting for this role ends on 9/18/26.
Work you'll do As a Product Forward Deployed Engineer, you will split your time between winning new product business and delivering on it once sold.
Pre-Sale:
Build and maintain relationships with market makers, buyer decision-makers, and Deloitte account teams to identify and shape product opportunities
Prepare and deliver pitches and product demos to client executives (including C-suite), translating Signals for FSI product value into a clear business case
Develop go-to-market materials - pitch decks, demo scripts, one-pagers, case studies - that Sales and Product teams can reuse across engagements
Partner with Market Makers and Product Managers to scope, price, and staff delivery engagements (incl. building scoping documents, pricing models, and commercial agreements)
Enable commercialization of products, create standardized license agreements, and be an advisor to Market Makers less familiar with taking Products to market
Post-Sale:
Lead delivery of scoped proofs of concept (POCs) and in-market testing, working hands-in-hand with engineering and data science teams to deliver the product to the client to drive outcomes for their business
Serve as the client's primary point of contact post-sale, managing scope, timeline, and outcomes, and escalating/resolving issues that put delivery at risk
Translate client requirements and product gaps back to Product Managers to inform the product feature backlog, distinguishing custom delivery needs from core product enhancements
Build, maintain, and scale reusable delivery assets, demo patterns, and implementation playbooks that accelerate the sales and deployment cycle for future engagements
Provide a continuous feedback loop between clients and the product team, and support knowledge transfer to delivery teams
Operate within defined engagement guardrails - scoped, time-boxed, and outcome-oriented - to protect capacity and ensure clean handoffs at the end of each deployment/delivery
The successful candidate would possess these skills:
Comfortable moving fluidly between client-facing selling conversations and hands-on delivery oversight, without needing to write the underlying code
Strong executive presence and communicator, able to translate technical product capability into a business case for client executives and internal stakeholders alike
Able to work effectively alongside engineering and technical delivery teams - understanding enough of the technical picture to scope, sequence, and troubleshoot delivery without being the hands-on engineer or data scientist
Genuine interest in and working knowledge of the financial services industry sufficient to speak credibly to industry-specific client problems across banking, insurance, and investment management
Ability to deliver work within scope / timelines and take an "outcomes" mindset to ensure client receives maximum value
Comfortable working through hard, ambiguous problems that require critical thinking, resourcefulness, and grit
Interest in staying current with the rapidly evolving AI/ML landscape and translating it into client-relevant use cases
Deep understanding of customer data science, segmentation, and behavioral insights that can be leveraged for sales and marketing across consumer and business customers
Knowledge and experience across the marketing, sales and distribution of financial services products and services
Deep understanding of customer data platforms, use of market research survey data and data science modeling to project insights and findings to larger populations
Understanding of data transfer protocols - SFTP, Cloud Bucket to Bucket transfers, Clean Rooms and CRMs, and Martech Customer Data Platforms
Awareness and depth of knowledge of 1 st and 3 rd party data uses to drive marketing and sales.
Strong facilitation skills for running workshops, design reviews, and working sessions
Self-directed, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple client engagements simultaneously
Natural curiosity and a bias for building - you'd rather spin up a demo than write a slide about one
Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Market Research, Data Science or equivalent field. MBA a plus.
5+ years of client-facing management or technology consulting / professional services experience, including leading delivery of technology-enabled engagements
2+ years of experience within, or delivering consulting/technology engagements to, the financial services industry
Ability to travel 20-40%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred: Demonstrated experience working alongside engineering, data science, or technical delivery teams to scope, sequence, and troubleshoot data / technology implementations, without requiring hands-on coding
Demonstrated experience contributing to sales and business development activities (e.g., client pitches, proposals, demos) in addition to delivery
Experience selling and/or delivering licensable software/data products or productized services, as distinct from custom SOW-based or traditional consulting delivery
Prior experience in a startup, high-growth SaaS or data/insights environment
Prior experience using AI and LLMs to rapid prototype in a sales, business development or product demonstrations

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
