Part-Time Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Internship – Lincoln Midwest Steel Works, Inc. located at 749 "N" Street in Lincoln, Nebraska is offering a part time internship position for a structural steel nondestructive testing (NDT) technician.
Shift Schedule: 15-20 hours / Week, Monday-Friday during school year 40 hours / Week, Monday-Friday during summer
Pay: Starting at $15-$20/hour
Qualifications: Applicants should be actively enrolled pursuing an associate's degree in nondestructive testing technology. Previous NDT experience is desired, but not a requirement. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Job Description and
Responsibilities: Work alongside out full-time quality control manager a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) to perform quality control duties and weld inspections. Assist with monitoring fabrication for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications. Aid with the logging of daily inspection reports. Help with performing Ultrasonic Testing and Magnetic Particle Testing when required.
