Donation Pick-Up Assistant

If you have a big heart and a strong back, you can help low-income families achieve their dreams of homeownership! We go out and pick up donations in the community from businesses and residential areas. As a Donation Pick Up Assistant, you will ride along with our Truck Driver to help load and unload these donations. Volunteer Shifts Residential and Business pickups: Monday / Wednesday / Friday 8:00 am to 1:00 p.m or until all the locations have been picked up at. Two Saturdays per month. Donation Pick Up Assistant Roles & Responsibilities Assist the truck driver to pick up donations in community Greet and thank donors (represent Habitat and ReStore in a positive manner) Load donations onto truck Fill out donation slips Answer truck phone and call donors before pickups Ability to clearly explain ReStore's mission Assist with unloading and organizing donations at the ReStore Desired Skills & Experience Age 18+ Able to do heavy lifting (100+ lbs) Able to talk on the phone and provide customer service Training & Resources provided½ hour orientation Truck driver is always present to answer questions while completing pickups What's in it for you Free workout A free ride in the ReStore truck Free snacks and cookies!
