About the role

Crew ChiefWe are seeking a versatile Crew Chief to join our multi-disciplinary firm. The successful candidate will split their time between field operations and office collaboration, contributing directly to land surveying, data processing, and site planning. In our smaller firm setting, this role requires wearing many hats, working alongside our Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) and survey drafting team while collaborating across our engineering divisions.
Key Responsibilities: Lead field operations for data collection, construction staking, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys. Transition between field data collection and office environments to assist with data processing and project planning alongside the PLS.Manage field notes, electronic data collection files, and project documentation efficiently. Coordinate closely with internal structural and civil engineering teams to streamline project lifecycles from concept to delivery. Support both commercial and residential site planning projects across Idaho and Washington. Maintain field equipment and oversee the care of the provided company vehicle.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Survey Crew Chief or high-level Field Technician ready to take the next step. Strong competency in construction staking, boundary tracking, and topographic surveying. Ability to work effectively in both outdoor field environments and an office setting. Collaborative mindset with a willingness to wear multiple hats and adapt to shifting daily project needs. Reliable, team-oriented attitude suited for a close-knit, collaborative small-business environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. LSIT preferred but not required.
