Role Description:
The Closing Agent is a part-time, hybrid role based in Liberty, IN, with some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the Closing Agent coordinates and conducts real estate closings, prepares and reviews closing documents, and verifies accuracy of information related to title, escrow, and funding. The position involves communicating with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders to schedule closings, resolve issues, and provide clear explanations of closing documents. The Closing Agent will ensure all signatures and notarizations are properly completed, manage disbursement of funds according to settlement statements, and maintain organized records in compliance with regulatory and company policies. The role also includes delivering courteous customer service, handling inquiries, and supporting office operations as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience in escrow processes, including managing escrow accounts and coordinating disbursements. Proficiency in conducting real estate closings and preparing settlement statements and related documentation. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients and partners. Active Notary commission (or eligibility to obtain one) and familiarity with notarization requirements. Knowledge of title insurance practices, policies, and common real estate transaction documents. High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in document review and data entry. Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and manage multiple closing files and deadlines. Prior experience in a title company, law firm, or real estate office is preferred. Basic proficiency with office software and closing/settlement platforms, and willingness to learn company systems. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in real estate or title work is a plus.
