About the role
- Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling machines (Makino and SNK) with FANUC controls.
- Read, interpret, and adjust G code to ensure efficient, precise machining.
- Perform quality checks using blueprints, GD&T, calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Verify first article and in process parts meet tight aerospace tolerances.
- Conduct basic machine maintenance (coolant, chip removal, offsets).Collaborate with leads and operations staff to meet production and quality targets.
- Uphold a "first piece right" and zero defect culture within a clean, high precision environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (QCDSA) and support team training.
- What You Bring 2+ years of CNC machining experience (Machinist II+) - aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, editing G code, and running multi axis machines.
- Familiarity with Makino, SNK, or other large format mills or lathes.
- Experience working with aluminum, hard metals, and tight tolerance specifications.
- Willingness to work 2nd or weekend shifts and overtime as needed.
- Trade school or technical program graduates encouraged to apply (Machinist I level).Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
