About the role
Do you have a passion for guns and experience in woodworking? Then this may be the position for you! No gunstock experience required. They'll teach you their process. If you're good with wood and care about getting the details right, you'll learn a craft very few people ever get to practice. Pay is based on experience.
Hours:
6am-2:30pm Monday through FridayWHAT YOU'LL DOMachine stock blanks from high-grade walnut Build and fit custom stocks to each shooter's measurements Cut combs and install adjustable comb hardware Shape, sand, and finish stocks to a standard that brings out the grain Repair and restore damaged stocks Inspect your own work before it goes to a customerWHAT YOU BRINGWoodworking experience in a job or serious hobby, such as cabinetry, furniture, finish carpentry, or similar Comfort with hand tools and power tools Accurate measuring and patience with tight tolerances Must be legally eligible to possess firearms and pass a background checkBONUS POINTSWood finishing experience Gunstock, gunsmithing, or CNC experience You shoot trap, skeet, or sporting clays
