About the role
Company Description:
Next Haven Group is an entrepreneur-led investment firm focused on acquiring and growing one exceptional business for the long term. The firm emphasizes thoughtful, hands-on ownership and strategic value creation rather than short-term financial engineering. Team members work closely with leadership to support disciplined investment decisions and responsible growth initiatives. The culture values curiosity, analytical rigor, and a collaborative approach to building sustainable, high-performing companies.
Role Description:
The MBA Private Equity Intern – Due Diligence will support investment evaluation and transaction execution in a remote internship role. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and industry research, market sizing, competitive research, identifying M&A opportunities, service comparison analysis, among other deal related activities. The intern will help prepare due diligence reports, investment memos, and presentation materials for internal discussions and external stakeholders. Responsibilities may also include reviewing legal and commercial documents, synthesizing findings from third-party reports, and collaborating with team members to refine investment theses. This internship offers exposure to the full deal cycle, with a focus on rigorous due diligence and practical private equity experience.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, perform quantitative analysis, and draw clear conclusions.
Experience or coursework related to due diligence, such as evaluating business models, assessing risks, and reviewing financial and operational performance.
Interest in and understanding of private equity, long-term investing, and the acquisition and growth of a single platform company.
Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an MBA program or equivalent graduate business degree.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise memos and presentations.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks independently in a remote environment.
Demonstrated curiosity, integrity, and a collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
