About the role
- Prospecting & Customer Engagement
- Generate new business through company leads, referrals, canvassing, door knocking, cold calling, and networking
- Conduct property inspections and document damage using company-approved technology
- Educate homeowners on the roofing process and guide them through insurance claims when applicable
- Build trust with customers through clear communication and professionalism
- Estimating & Contracting
- Meet with insurance adjusters to review and validate scopes of work
- Create accurate estimates and scopes using estimating software
- Present proposals and execute contracts with property owners
- Maintain consistent follow-up to move deals toward close
- Project & Profit Management
- Assist with supplements, change orders, and scope revisions as needed
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure job accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Support accounts receivable by helping facilitate timely collection of payments
- Help ensure projects meet or exceed company profitability targets (30%+ gross margin)
- Additional Expectations
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication with internal teams
- Participate in company meetings, sales training, and ongoing professional development
- Utilize Mighty Dog Roofing University and other training resources
- Represent the company professionally at all times in the field and community
- Consistently work toward a minimum target of $100,000 in monthly contracted sales
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Roofing, construction, or insurance-related experience preferred (not required)
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities independently
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to ethical sales practices
