About the role
Dispatcher The Dispatcher assigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight to their assigned destinations. Coordinates and trains drivers according to and in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Tracks driver, vehicle, and order assignments in computer database. Coordinates calibrations, repairs, and other fleet maintenance activities. Coordinate with supply chain, customer service, and sales to communicate delivery status and pick up of purchase orders. Essential Functions /
General Accountabilities:
Dispatch customer orders on Tilley bulk and package trucks using online routing software. Own on-time delivery performance of third party carriers for division shipments. Coordinate pick up of purchase orders from vendors and RGAs from customers. Provide delivery status to customer service and sales. Work with maintenance provider to ensure trucks are maintained and repairs are completed in a timely manner and documented. Train drivers on company policies and ensure DOT regulations are adhered to.
Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
1-2 years of related experience (preferred)Must pass a background check and drug test Skills Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office suiteA desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written communication skills.
Work Environment: Standard warehouse environment. Office setting

Sitting and/or alternating sitting and. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing Requirements. The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds. Near Visual Acuity.
