Our client, a well-established real estate investment, development, and management firm, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its growing finance team in New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and wants to be part of a leadership team that is highly invested in employee development and long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and cash management
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Partner with development and operational teams to support business initiatives and financial decision-making
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and compliance activities
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
What We're Looking For: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Real estate accounting experience required Real estate development experience highly preferred Strong understanding of hard costs, soft costs, capital expenditures (CapEx), and capital drawdowns Experience working within multi-entity and intercompany accounting environments Job costing experience is a significant plus Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage shifting prioritiesCPA and/or public accounting experience preferred If you're a real estate accounting professional looking for a role that offers both growth and mentorship, I'd love to connect.
