Description: A&E Real Estate was founded in 2011 to invest in multifamily properties in the New York City Metropolitan area with a focus on workforce housing. A&E acquires, operates, improves, and manages the properties and currently owns approximately 12,000 apartments in New York City. Lease Renewals Associate Job Description Facilitate all aspects of the lease renewal process, including generating and reviewing Lease Expiration Reports, preparing renewal documentation, and coordinating renewal communication with residents. Meet with residents to discuss lease renewal options, answer questions via calls or emails, and provide clear information about renewal terms to support resident retention. Collaborate with asset managers on counteroffers and renewal negotiations to balance resident needs with company objectives. Draft renewal letters and related documents, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies. Assist in transitioning lease renewal processes to the Yardi software platform, including data entry, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure a smooth implementation. Provide professional, courteous service that enhances resident satisfaction, makes residents feel valued, and strengthens tenant relationships.
Requirements: Preferred: at least one year of experience in a legal or administrative role within a corporate environment. Minimum of two years of experience handling lease renewals for rent-stabilized and rent-controlled apartments. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a cooperative and collaborative work environment. Proficiency in Yardi. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of customers and stakeholders.
